Hi, I'm Megan! Most days you can find my hair in a pineapple bun, chasing a wild, fresh-air craving toddler as he hunts for rocks and gets mud stuck in his mad scientist hair. I'm mostly known for standing on inappropriately wobbly rocks and leaving my camera bag in random, camouflaged forest spots as I Mission Impossible my way to beautiful photos. Don't worry I'll do the spy moves, you get to stay safe and look pretty/handsome/awesome-sauce.
Who are you? Most likely you want images that go beyond the "sit pretty and smile." You may have done a Sears family portrait as a joke (or for real) but you crave the wild, wind in your hair photos that won't look a thing like any Pinterest search.
If you are a bride or groom, you are planning a wedding that is all about being with your favorite humans for a day. Forget napkin selection and fancy silverware -- you want an epic party and you want someone along to freeze all the joyful chaos you know will ensue. That's me, hello, hi! I LOVE your party already, please can I be invited?
If you are a mom/dad/grandmother/human who isn't wedding planning, hooray for you! Your life is probably a little less stressful but the same logic applies. You want photos that no one else has. That make your mouth drop to the floor and your heart do cartwheels. You don't want to drag your family to one more turtleneck wearing, Christmas card session where everyone's cheeks hurt afterwards from perma-smiles. You want to go on an adventure, soak up some sunshine, let your kiddos run around and have someone else be in charge. Me! Me! Me! I was an elementary school teacher for nine years, I've seen it all. And I'm not worried/bothered/phased by ANYTHING. In fact, I crave the wild child spirit. It is incredible and must be captured! Scout's honor.
As a wedding and portrait photographer, I have been featured on The Knot, Wedding Lovely, Basic Invite, Budget Savvy Bride, and Couture Colorado... I have prayed, wished and hoped with over fifty amazing couples as they start their lives together. I have chased over one hundred toddlers and kiddos, some of who must be training for the Olympics, because they are FAST. I have photographed folks in five countries and five states (always looking to grow this number). My car sees more mileage than any Amazon courier and I have gotten lost looking for scenic, hidden away Colorado locations more times than I can count.
I've rambled way too much already. Still here? Let's connect and talk life, photography, puppies, Denzel Washington thrillers... I promise we will create something awesome together!
